HOW NIGERIA PROVOKES ME ( PART2)

To start with, each time I think about the educational system in Nigeria, my heart becomes so heavy that I sometimes have tears roll down my cheeks, questioning my creator why exactly I was created in Nigeria.
Apparently, we all know education to be the best legacy which can be passed upon from one generation to  the other,  either formal or informal. Presently in Nigeria, no sector can really be graded with excellence in which Education is not exempted simply because the Educational system is extremely woeful.
More so, the state of our schools Nigeria is seriously nothing to write home about, both the primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions. Examination malpractice in its place has become an avenue for students to succeed whereby at the end of the day, the bearer of such certificate is usually unable to defend his or her certificate. Over the past years, there have been no measures to control this. There have been no effective solution  to solve the menace. The rate at which students are being exhorted every year  all in the name of entrance examinations, where billions are made and less than 33% of the applicants are just able to secure admission is becoming unbearable. A month can never pass by in Nigeria without tertiary institutions embarking on strike.
Sincerely, it is very obvious that, the Educational system in Nigeria has been poorly funded. A country where we have lesser than 10% of its allocation been allocated into education. What greatness do we expect in this? A country where the Government has made the investment in education a last option.
Nelson Mandela said, "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"
The bad state of education in Nigeria is enough to provoke and discourage one. To make Nigeria great again, education must be taken more seriously in all levels.

*GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
